The first event (Golden State Fur Con 2019) was held on April 19-21, 2019, at the Hilton Irvine Orange County Airport Hotel. There were 1230 attendees (including 232 in the fursuit parade) and $11,242 donated for the Judith A Bassett Canid Education and Conservation Center (JABCECC).[1]

The theme was "The Roaring Twenties", and the guests of honor were artist Pulex,[2] musicians Fox Amoore and Pepper Coyote,[3] and fursuit building studio Mischief Makers.[4]
