Furry Ski Weekend
Furry Ski Weekend is an annual furry event held at Copper Mountain, Colorado, U.S.A. The first Furry Ski Weekend was held in 2007.
Unlike most other furry conventions, Furry Ski Weekend is largely designed for fursuiters only, although non-fursuiters can attend.
History[edit]
In 2006 an unofficial gathering of five furs went skiing/snowboarding in fursuit that would inspire the creation of FSW.
In 2007 Tek, Dire, and Tuaolo created and held the first Furry Ski Weekend. [1] with 26 attendees.[2]
In 2008 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of February 21st - 24th[3] with approximately 32 attendees.[4]
In 2009 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of February 19th - 22nd, with 40 attendees.[4]
In 2010 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of February 18th - 21st, with 34 attendees. Limit of 34 was set since 40 was logistically difficult.[4]
In 2011 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of February 24th - 27th[5].
In 2012 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 41 attendees.
In 2013 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of Thursday February 21 - Sunday February 24.[6] with 42 attendees[7]
In 2014 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 43 attendees.
In 2015 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 54 attendees[8]
In 2016 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 53 attendees.
In 2017 Furry Ski Weekend was held on the weekend of Thursday February 9 - Sunday February 12, with 65 attendees [9] with 64 attendees
In 2018 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 69 attendees.
In 2019 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 73 attendees.
In 2020 Furry Ski Weekend was held in Feb, with 73 attendees.
In 2021 Furry Ski Weekend was not held due to Covid-19.
In 2023 Furry Ski Weekend was held February 9-12.
