Wisconsin Wilderness Campout

The Wisconsin Wilderness Campout is an annual furry camping outing in southern Wisconsin, USA. As of 2019, it has a secondary tent-only event, It's Ruff Out Campout.[1]
History[2][3][edit]
- The first Wisconsin Wilderness Campout took place August 5-7, 2016, with 19 campers.
- The second instance took place August 4-6, 2017, with 40 campers.
- The third instance, "Nights Under the Stars," took place August 3-5, 2018, with 43 campers.
- The fourth instance, "Tails and Trails," took place August 2-4, 2019.[4]
- The fifth instance, "Mythical Creatures, It Came from the Shadows," took place August 6-8, 2021. Attendance numbers were not made public but described as "larger than years 1 and 2 combined."[2]
- The sixth instance, "Extreme Weather," took place August 5-7, 2022.
- The seventh instance, "Adrift Among the Stars," will take place August 4-6, 2023.
All instances have taken place at the Astico County Park, Columbus, Wisconsin.
The first It's Ruff Out Campout is to take place May 17-19, 2019 at Lake Kegonsa State Park near Stoughton, Wisconsin, with space for up to 40 campers.[1]
Staff and organization[edit]
The events are organized by WI Furs, a limited liability corporation created Feburary 14, 2018.[2][5]
