Bewhiskered is a furry convention held in North Carolina, USA. The venue as of 2022 is the Marriott in Research Triangle Park, Durham, North Carolina. Bewhiskered is organized by the NC Anthro Society (NCAS)[1].
History[edit]
- Bewhiskered 2020 The inaugural Bewhiskered was scheduled for October 2-4, 2020 in Durham, North Carolina.[2] The event was postponed until 2021 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.[3]
- Bewhiskered 2021 - The inaugural Bewhiskered was held on November 12-14, 2021 in Durham, North Carolina. The theme was "Blast Off!", echoing the theme of the inaugural year and also the 50th year anniversary of the Apollo space program.[4] Guests of Honor for 2021 were Chise (AKA sailorrooscout) and Eddie Bear (Eddiebear58).[5]
- Bewhiskered 2022 - The second Bewhiskered took place on October 21-23, 2022, at the Marriott in Durham, North Carolina. The theme for 2022 is "A Furry Murder Mystery". [6]. Guests of Honor for 2022 included Marks Barks and Ursula Vernon.[7] Attendance was 481.[8]
- Bewhiskered 2023 - The third Bewhiskered occurred on December 28-31, 2023, at the Hilton Durham in Durham, North Carolina. The theme for 2023 was "Furries on the High Seas". [9] Attendance was 1,174.
- Bewhiskered 2025 - The next Bewhiskered is scheduled for 2025. The theme for 2025 is "Prehistoria".
