MiniFurr (formerly MiniFurr Pohoda Březová and occasionally SaunaPurr, full name MiniFurr Sauna Polnička) is a Czech autumn furry convention organized by GreyLion Aslan.

MiniFurr is a relaxacon, focusing on informal social activities rather than structured programming. Typical activities include grilling, drinking beer, liquor tasting, short hikes in the surrounding countryside, sauna sessions, and socializing by the fireplace. Earlier editions also featured a shooting range.

Food is provided on at least two of the main convention days, with free tea and coffee, and a wide selection of beer and cider. At other times, attendees are generally expected to bring their own food and drinks, although since the move to Polnička locally sourced meat and sausages have been readily available. In many later editions one of the main meals has been a whole roasted piglet served with side dishes and condiments. A local shop and several restaurants are located in the village.

The main cottage has capacity for 31 guests, with additional off-site accommodation available in a nearby pension in the village.

GreyLion Aslan also hosts other events at the same location, including SF Únor ("SciFi February") held in late February and Dementcon; one edition in May or June and another in mid-October. Although originally aimed at science fiction fans, these events now also attract many furs.

History

Minifurr was first held from 12 to 14 October 2007 and was co-organized with Tamu at Březová nad Svitavou, the same venue as ČeSFuR 1 (2005) and 2 (2006).

The first MiniFurr edition included organized activities such as Dance Dance Revolution and a raffle. While specific activities vary from year to year and are largely self-organized by attendees, the raffle has remained a recurring feature, including fun and silly prizes from the attendees in addition to organizer-provided ones.

In 2008 there was a single furry-oriented Minifurr-like event called SaunaPurr that already happened in Polnička. Since then, furs who liked the place started attending Dementcon, the Scifi event held there also since 2008.

In 2013, the convention moved to Polnička in the central Czech Highlands, with minimal changes to its overall format. As of 2026, the event continues to be held annually in late September under the name MiniFurr Sauna Polnička.

Despite the Wikipedia:COVID-19_pandemic, the convention took place in 2020 but was limited to select invited attendees to ensure safety. Due to continued popularity and limited venue capacity, MiniFurr has remained invite-only since then. Preference is generally given to long-term attendees, who may suggest new participants if space allows. As a result, international attendance outside Czechia and Slovakia has become very limited.

The anniversary edition MiniFurr XX is scheduled to take place from 24 to 28 September 2026.
