Furry Times has posted fake news on multiple occasions. Patch O'Furr says "He does it for jealousy, because he also runs a blog and craves attention... has a bad reputation for lying a lot on his blog... theft, plagiarism, fake news... has had a lot of beef with a lot of groups and people about his bad behavior." Patch addresses Ahmar lying about age, pretending to get hate mail from Patch in 2009 "before I had any visible presence, fursona, site, or open contact at all in fandom", and false claims about Patch sending "racist hate messages". Two months after the thread was published it was updated about a claim on Ahmar's Furry Times blog that Patch was refusing to release alleged secret reviews written by [[Fred Patten]] before his death; Patch says "There are no secret reviews. Ed Nelson used a dead guy to post defamation."
