A forum, most commonly known as an Internet forum, also known as a message board, is a web based bulletin board.

Forums and furry

As its mainstream counterparts, furry forums can be used for information dissemination, discussions, socialization, furry media showcase, or roleplay between members.

With most forums, you are required to sign up before you can participate, however some forums will allow a person who is not signed up to view (most) entries.

Many furry forums, such as UKFur.org, are standalone entities, but some furry art archives, such as Weasyl and (formerly[1]) Fur Affinity have standalone forums, often used in case the main site goes offline. Others, such as SoFurry, have integrated forums. In the case of Furtopia, the forums outlasted other functions of the site.
