Watergazer (also known as Vanessa Knight) is an artist and writer in Chicago, Illinois. Born in 1980,[1] she began drawing at an early age and has worked in many mediums, including pencils, marker and sculpture, though nowadays she tends to do much of her work in digital form from inked sketches. Her character is a Red Wolf.[2]

A graduate of Elmhurst College of Illinois in English with creative writing, Watergazer has illustrated several children's story books, but her ambition was to publish her own, which she achieved with Moki Macaroni in September 2003. This was followed by A Pig and a Pug in March 2004, and A Tale of Tricksters in November 2004.
