Berios

Did you mean to leave Berios blank? Or should it be protected-excluded? --Rat 20:11, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Protected-excluded, but Safari is not formating the post right. It shows as intended on preview, but not when I save it. If you could fix it I would appreciate it Spirou 23:39, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
The user contacted me via IM and asked that his paged be removed, and that the link between his RL name and fursona/character be broken. I deleted the Berios page and protected-excluded his RL name. I'm not sure what the precedent is for this but as long as the link isn't immediately obvious I think we will have satisfied the request. Simba B 20:37, 12 September 2007 (UTC)
Understood, But "Berios" (the name,) is a bit linked to the history of fandom, and deleting it outright would red-link possible present/future entries connections (attendances, contributions, etc...). That's why I undeleted it, killed the redirect to the person's name, and tried to "protect-excluded" (emphasis on "tried".)
Should be fined as long as his RL name is not connected to this alias in any article. Spirou 23:39, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Vorderman Post

Hi Spirou Can i please have some clarification if a factual event that happned at EF13 warents a post on wikifur. As southpaw is pretty adiment that it is not witin guidelines for Wikifur (Sorry My first article so its going to be a mess!)

Reasons that i think it deserved a post was that around 80% of the con actualy was into it at one point. The dance floor errupting and a few of the orginazers such as cheetah and uncle kage got in on the act. A lot of furrs have since asked "what was it all about" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by WolfieUk (talkcontribs) 20:34, 12 September 2007 (UTC).

No problem. As it stands, the entry is about a very localized, spur of the moment, event that, all thought occurring in a furry convention and propagated by furs, it (at this time,) doesn't stand out, or being furry common enough, to warrant it's own entry (vs something like Krystal can't enjoy her sandwich, which, all though quick and new, it crossed all layers of furry fandom very quickly in a popular fashion with a lot of people, enough to be noteworthy.)
It could be, instead of putting up to discuss its appropriateness as a standalone Wikifur article, merged as a section on the Eurofurence 13 article, as Rat has already suggested to do Spirou 23:39, 12 September 2007 (UTC)

Homestead?

Back in 2005 one of your additions to Whelpday included “The Homestead”. Was that Homestead a role-play section of alt.lifestyle.furry or the Homestead LJ? --EarthFurst 22:20, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

The "Homestead" as ALF is referred as sometimes =) Spirou 04:40, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

User:74.15.21.167

After reviewing the recent edits by this anonymous user, it is not obvious to me like they were acts of vandalism/bad faith. Questionable, perhaps, but possibly worthy of further discussion before taking action against this user. Are you familiar enough with the subject matter of the articles edited to be able to say otherwise? --mwalimu 18:07, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

No, it wasn't actually the initial edits that made me reverse the changes, but the final two touches of taking out the contributor template ("uh?, why?",) and the little tweak on the Road Rover article (cute.) Not precisely nice final touches to try to seriously assert your prior arguments/edits Spirou 18:23, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Wiki-style Disagreement

I prefer dictionary-tabbing out segments versus making sub-segments, especially when the topics covered are short enough that they could be covered in a bulleted list (not to mention it causes that ugly Table Of Contents to show up, which is really unnecessary when we're discussing many short definitions). I consider it more 'wiki-like' in making sure the content is not obscured by needless details, and in this case your changes are the equivalent of a ten-pound parcel for a ten-ounce cargo.

I would really rather you leave my edits in that regard alone. I don't mind content being corrected, but the 'many small segments' appearance really bothers me, unless you intend on expanding each of the segments in How To Be a Furry out into sizable enough portions to be worth the alteration fairly soon. Jigsaw Forte 03:40, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Actually, it has nothing to do with the type of edit you prefer, instead of more on the formatting that Wikifur generally uses (Help:Furry_Book_of_Style.) Not ribbing, or trying to get your goat, or, simply, "f**** with you," really, just following old formatting rules, which there are a few I also feel should be changed to be more pleasing looking. If you feel the type of format you're using could help enhance articles, please, do put the discussion forth =)
In the mean time, no malice was intended with the formatting of the article Spirou 03:50, 9 October 2007 (UTC)

Revert

Why did you revert this? It's not really nice to have lots of unsourced rumors on an article about a real person. Hendrik18 16:20, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

Such list was not taken out, even when its user made edits to it, which either means that (A) they were written by him or (B) he didn't have a problem with them. That's why the revert,...
But, looking at it again, even if the reasons listed above are correct, this kind of fluff writing belongs in the contributor's user page, which does have the same list anyways, so re-reverting to your edit after all Spirou 22:13, 14 October 2007 (UTC)

My personal page

I respectfully request the future link 'Vampire' not be included (hence my removing it upon its addition the first time) as Queen Vampire is my title and my vampire mythos varies greatly from most the common ones found. They are a part of my history and those of my offspring. I do not want them lumped into the typical vampire definition. Please allow that removal. I also wonder why you have insisted on a future link regarding my home. It has no reason to be listed at all, and I do not want it listed now or in the future.

Yours sincerely, Lady Tabyathe Foxhampton

Wikipedia links are provided more information interesting information to potential reader to peruse, and it doesn't have to be really related, but if the biology, lore and history of your species is quite distinct from the established vampyr/vampire mythology, I will make sure it is not linked now, or in future edits.
As for Fox Manor, being a Wiki devoted to anything furry related, any information, names, or locales are open to be expanded into future articles to provide, once again, a more broader, varied and informative view of Furry. If you don't wish to expand on this matter/subject, I can delete the link format at your request Spirou 04:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

Yo

Consider this me contacting you personally, since I can't find an email. This is Colley. I don't want my personal information on my wikifur page. Please remove it. You have access to my livejournal if you need to contact me and verify this.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.219.171.207 (talkcontribs) .

Why do you want Colley to be harassed?

I can't think of any other reason why you'd disregard his own statements about what he approves on his page but insist on putting his real name there against his wishes and subsequently protecting it. That's rather hostile of you.

His real name will be removed Spirou 04:30, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
Please also remove my name from drewkitty. If you insist on being tedious, please E-mail drewkitty@gmail.com and I will verify the removal. Otherwise I complain to other admins. 3 November 2007
The tone of your comment is unnecessary. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
If he wanted his edits to be taken seriously, he should have made them under his own name and not have mixed them in with other edits adding stupidity to the page - no matter how much he "approves" of such edits. It is not reasonable to expect administrators to proactively check people's LiveJournals before reverting such nonsense. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:19, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

I need help

Excuse me Mr. Spirou, why are all the external article of the Butch series requesting to be merged, I would agree that this would be a good idea for this, but the Butch article isn't made to have all the information on it, it's made to be a directional page for the other articles, not all he information is there and it's incomplete. - McBowser 02:18, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Most webcomic articles have all the information that's currently fragmented across Wikifur under one entry (Comic, premise, characters, locations,...) In the current state, a reader would need to make several article jumps instead of finding all related information under one heading.
As for length, currently all the articles related to this comic are under the "stub" size, so they could easily be assimilated under one entry. Sequential Art is an example of how to format a webcomic article for this Wiki - Spirou 04:19, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
But i did that because, i didn't get any kind of replys when made the last comment, and the only time when i did get a response is after i deleted the tags. i took off the merge tab because, the articles they arn't finished and all the informatin hasn't been placed there yet, i went to most of the articles here that talked about web-comics and the reason they merged together is becase there doesn't seem to be that much information on it, it just lloks a few paragraphs telling the main idea and some synopsis notes. - McBowser 04:52, 30 October 2007 (UTC)

drewkitty

I hate to be rude. You can see clearly in my user page that I prefer to separate my personal and professional life. Just so we're clear: http://drewkitty.livejournal.com/238637.html

You provide me with an E-mail address and I will send you a message to that effect. I note that *you* are anonymous. I note further in your user talk page that you have been slow to respond to other reasonable requests to delete real names.

Don't motivate me to break your anonymity or to involve other admins. -- drewkitty 3 November 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by drewkitty (talkcontribs) .

Please do not threaten our administrators when you are asking us to do you a favour. We are willing to work with you on information that you consider personal as long as you are willing to work with us. A confrontational tone is not necessary or helpful.
Also, a clarification - a user page is "your page", while Drewkitty is "the page about you". This might seem like quibbling over terms, but the difference is important, as you can see from, say, User:Colley and Colley. --GreenReaper(talk) 01:29, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Respecting the privacy of persons who are not celebrities is not a favor, but a basic expectation of running a public service. While I disagree with your characterization of my comment above, feeling that turnabout is indeed fair play, I appreciate your team's prompt action on this issue and consider this matter closed. drewkitty 3 November 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by drewkitty (talkcontribs) .
"You can see clearly in my user page that I prefer to separate my personal and professional life. Just so we're clear: http://drewkitty.livejournal.com/238637.html" Actually, we can't see it clearly: "Error. You are not authorized to view this protected entry." Just FYI - Spirou 02:56, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
Once my identity had been clearly established, I locked the post. I wish I had saved the comment you posted to the IP I was using. Since I did not, I'll settle for expressing my satisfaction that this issue was promptly resolved. drewkitty 3 November 2007 —The preceding unsigned comment was added by drewkitty (talkcontribs) .

I think a month block without any warnings first is a bit too harsh for this IP address.

When I was at MFF I heard complaints about the security person from multiple people(though I wasn't affected and didn't hear any specifics), so there may or may not be a grain of truth in the complaint. As written, the article wasn't acceptable, so I don't mind scrapping it and having them start over. --Rat 19:15, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

All right, will throttle back blocking to warning. All though using Wikifur as a personal public venting medium, or creating a (fake/POV) article for the sole purpose of maligning somebody (deserved or not) doesn't precisely look like to be a "warning" only case - Spirou 22:46, 26 November 2007 (UTC)

Message from LDEJRuff

I tried to take the matter to e-mailing Njhcerebus, but he has not read his e-mail, nor has he sent me a reply. I don't even know what the heck he's doing right now. Well, I made a video that talks about his YouTube account being closed and his not checking his deviantART message. And today's my birthday, so wish me a happy one. ~~LDEJRuff~~ (talk) 12:22, 13 December 2007 (EDT)

  • Never mind. He read his message, and, earlier, I found out that he has a new YouTube account. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Radio BBF?

I see Radio BBF is in your WikiFur To do list (on your user page). I did a websearch and am unsure of what Radio BBF is. Is it related to BigBlueFox? --EarthFurst 21:57, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

Yes. The image is a placeholder for a future article, hopefully - Spirou 05:25, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Recent User Talk page protection (User talk:Mozdoc)

I see the note you left on the page before you protected it but usually talk pages are not protected unless vandalism is an ongoing problem. May I suggest unprotecting the page, so discussion may take place on this most recent request for exclusion? -- JaeSharp 05:50, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Ah, I see the note GreenReaper left earlier, hmm. I sincerely doubt that the request will be honored, but a discussion should still be made. How would you suggest going about it? -- JaeSharp 05:53, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
Well, it's open again to registered users (we had it at Sysops only,) see how we go from here regarding this situation,... - Spirou 08:20, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

Why was my page REVERSE-EDITED again? Its my damn page, I can make it say what I damn well please. I'm putting the edits back, and this time they'd better stay.

Whats a way to get ahold of you on IM?

By the way your user page says what the users want it to say, not what you want it to say. I sure with I could edit up the lies in my page, but I cant really.

Murrlin

Could you please stop reverting the murrlin article —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Espycious (talkcontribs) .

Hi; If the data entered is fitting to a Wikifur article, in can remain as such in there, and you can have a little bit of entertainment with it too (we are not "100% cut and dry, by the book" Wiki.) But superfluous, certain types of language, and outright nonsense will normally be edit out (see "Help:Furry Book of Style.)
We have made points about this on your past edits, but you seem to have your own ideas of how the article should look like,... you do, up to a point. After that, other users or Sysops will edit it out to conform to minimum Wikifur standards.- Spirou 21:54, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Murrlin is my friend (I am not him, he thinks the latest revision is perfect) could you please stop reverting it and let us have it how it is? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 74.232.36.37 (talkcontribs) .
One more time, Improper language: because it's not properly formated, full of nonsense, etc,... Please refer to the Help: Furry Book of Style to see why. If you wish to have a more wacked version of the article here (Wikifur,) please copypasta your version of the article (language and all) on his user page, not the main article - Spirou 22:03, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
Can you completely delte the murrlin/fn0rd article. Neither of us like it how it is and we don't know how to delete it can you please delete it —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Espycious (talkcontribs) .
(...) ...No problem,... Just have your friend contact us for article exclusion/deletion (this request must be made by the user the article is based on, not third parties.) Help on how to do such can be found at WikiFur:Personal exclusion - Spirou 22:11, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

Blanking

Don't (again) blank articles or user's talk pages. Such (repeatedly) called on behavior can result on a ban/permaban. As you're presently in talks with another Sysop regarding the Murrlin article, just consider this a friendly remainder - Spirou 22:36, 8 January 2008 (UTC)

What the hell is your problem? I am editing the article for truth and clarity. Why is that against the rules? I was not blanking anything. Sibe 07:27, 19 January 2008 (UTC)Sibe
Portions of the "9 December 1995" and "14 February 2006" entries were blanked, and:

'1-3 July, 1999: Sibe attends Anthrocon 99 on a shoestring budget. Raps with silfur. Buys 90 bucks worth of porn from James hardiman. Asked wookie "Is it just line art and cheezy photoshop tricks?" And then he pulled out some oil painting. His e-penis is huge. He got to help change Mathias Blackwolfs tire. Went to some furries house and watched that skuck chick bone herself with that plushie dildo thingy . She came like *Gallons* and literally like 8 furries just watched. It was like.. wow.... And apparently sibe kept the rag that she came all over as a souviner. Pretty gross huh? Anyways, sibe also hung out with some dude who took him down to a fur friendly copy store so i could get some full color laser copies of my 90 dollar investment :) He got copies of all his investment as well. Sibe got really drunk and hung out in a wife beater. He was tickled non-consentually by all five members of his room until he almost peed. Didnt buy a sibe badge from anyone. Had a blast tho!

...does not fit in the controversy timeline, a timeline I thought you wanted shortened accurately, not muddled longer with nonsense - Spirou 07:34, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Hey ! You! Toughguy!

The article is supposed to be about me, not just controversy surrounding me. Just because some jackoff put "controversy" in bullet dosent mean that the article needs to be a hit job from then on. I am making the article more accurate, which I believe was supposed to be the point of wikifur. Right? Or is the point just to make me look as bad as possible. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sibe (talkcontribs) .

(...) Ooookay, how about you take this up fresh and early on the morn, Sibe. Get your thoughts together, and take the weekend to really work on the article seriously - Spirou 13:41, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

Question

Do you believe that the Sibe article is a balanced accurate article about me as a person?

Perhaps you believe that I 'deserve" a hit article because of my actions?

Is that the same reason that I am not allowed to ask for my article to be locked and blanked like Murrlin?

Murrlin also had problems with furry admins and was banned from furry networks, as was I.

Im not sure if his real name and criminal record was known, but why would he get to blank and lock his article,

but I cant ? ALso, why is any positive information that I add to the article grounds to ban me for 24 hours?

Whats really going on here Spirou? What are your motivations here? Sibe 11:08, 19 January 2008 (UTC)

"Do you believe that the Sibe article is a balanced accurate article about me as a person?," No, and if you had five minutes to read the comments and edits, you would have seen that already made some edits to lessen the negativity to it, and even advocated on your behalf once (out of a ban. in regards about my "motivations.")
"ALso, why is any positive information that I add to the article grounds to ban me for 24 hours?." (*Sigh*) A) Once again, you were never banned in the last 12 hours. THE article itself was lockdown for 24 hours, but B) rescinded after pointing out what you were doing wrong, in the hopes you knew how to proceed from here (and locked again until morning when you started to proceed the wrong way again.)
As for the rest, I really don't known was going on (on your personal life,) but I really believe you need to step back, and take a fresh approach in the morning on how to go about editing the article - Spirou 13:41, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
