FurryFaire

Sorry about the 'blanking', I was removing old information before I dropped in a bunch of new information. I thought I'd have the time to update everything before it got reverted, and seeing the old information back confused me. (I wanted to make the page more organized). Hope you like the clean up.  :)

There is a fur named Malamute. He hangs out in #theden on Anthrochat.
I think that redirect should be removed.

Reiterating what Rat just said, I would also like to point out that all links regarding Malamutes refer to the Alaskan Malamute which is a breed of dog. So the redirect towards dog. It would probably be wise to put up a disambig page.--Kendricks Redtail 09:12, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

What do I do?

A great many of these articles are getting deleted, or already got deleted, or are getting shredded to pieces constantly on the real Wikipedia, which is why I moved them here. Am I not supposed to do that? Timmy the Tigress 03:55, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Just understand that the same is likely going to happen here. Many of this have only the loosest ties to the furry fandom and may not be appropriate for a wiki about the furry fandom.--Kendricks Redtail 03:57, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

Image rights and descriptions

Please don't upload images without a description indicating where they come from, or without selecting what license they are being included in WikiFur under. We can't just grab random images off the internet and say "hey, it's cool, we're an encyclopedia". Attribution is required, at the very least. --GreenReaper^(talk) 05:25, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

The picture Image:Bastet.jpg looks like it came from Wikimedia Commons. The description page in commons says it's licensed under CC-BY-SA-1.0 while the WikiFur page says CC-BY-SA-2.5. If Commons is the source for the licensing information, that will have to be corrected on WikiFur. The images Image:CJInfoPage.jpg and Image:Perndragon.jpg are currently tagged as a CreativeCommons-Attribution image, which requires that the copyright holder be credited when the image is used. The image pages currently do not provide information on who the copyright holder is. Pak protectors

Geez I'm embarrassed. I'm so saturated in Known Space that I tend to assume other people are too. Protectors are relevant to the Kzinti, which were the first Furries-- at least, they're the earliest ones still around-- and people who want to know more about the Kzinti will run into protector references pretty quickly.
