The new version of Turbo made in college

Turbo Mair is a furry who was born in Utah (2002). After moving quite a lot, He ended up attending Northwest Missouri State University (2020). There, he created the club FUN, standing for Furries United at Northwest. Turbo Mair is a Husky-Wolf-German Shepherd Canine.

Early Life[edit]

Turbo's family moved quite a lot as a child, shifting his friend groups and schools around often. In Colorado, Idaho, Utah, Washington state, and Missouri, Turbo attended school. During his childhood, he made good friends with a My Little Pony fan. Although begrudgingly, he begin to watch the show with his friend. This, mixed with Animal Jam, was what guided Turbo towards the furry fandom online. After browsing Omegle around the same time, he discovered what Kik was. There, he became a part of many furry groups and begin to identify as a furry. During his freshman year in high school, Turbo would yet again move residence. Moving to a very small city with a graduating class under 20 students was a slight culture shock, especially after attending a 3-story high school. Apon arrival, Turbo quickly came out as gay to his classmates, being unapologetically himself. During the first few months at school, Turbo would meet a fellow furry drawing art. They became close friends shortly after, and the character Turbo Mair was created. His years in high school were spent achieving multiple goals in band, competing and winning first place in Science Olympiad, running long distance in track, and starting a job at 15. From there, he moved in with his then long distance partner after graduating and began to attend NWMSU.

College Years[edit]

Turbo began college at NWMSU in 2020. He originally was planning on a BS in General Computer Science and a Minor in General Music. However, while proficient and achieving good grades in music, he decided to drop it due to not having enough time to focus on both subjects, work, and be a part of extracuriculars. In 2022, Turbo became president of the Northwest Gaming Club. He had been spinning the idea of starting a furry club for a while, but breaking point was when he was thinking of a name when a stranger complimented his Nomad Complex hoodie, showing him their matching pin. He decided that was the sign to go for it, and began to hang 80+ posters around campus containing a meme: "Furries? At my university? It's more likely than you think." There was a discord link attached to the poster, and from there the rumblings of club creation began. After finding an advisor and gathering 10 people, he sent in the paperwork to become offical. There was some debate and tension, as shown in the news article here. However, the club was accepted with a unanimous vote.
