Explanation of my recent edits[edit]

(See this diff for reference on this explanation.)

First: The [[image:]] wiki tag includes a CSS-based automatic alignment feature - just use [[Image:name|alignment|width|height]]. This obviates the need for most image-aligning tables.

Next, I moved the s out of the masquerades link, so that the wiki will reference the Masquerade article; the usual format seems to be in singular form, and the wiki automatically includes a trailing S in its hyperlink.

Some links I removed, others I directed toward Wikipedia. Specifically, I altered links for which I was unsure that WikiFur has a need to contain an article. Categories, however, usually get their own links at the bottom of the page, especially if they apply to the subject of the article. Categorical mentions will generally see links embedded in the page - I probably should have made the stories link a Category link.

I added section titles and subtitles so that:

  1. The page is visually broken up, making for more relaxed reading.
  2. By using the (togglable) contents box at the top of all the section titles, readers can go to a portion of the page they're most interested in.

A word on lists: They're built differently in wikis; you can use the HTML tags for 'em, but you don't have to.

For blockquotes and inset paragraphs, you can start a line with : (while this obviates the need for <br> tags, it does indent the line/paragraph that it starts)
For an unordered list, start the line with *
For a numbered list, start the line with #

Finally, I simply shuffled the categories, but removed none.

SonicBlu: If you feel that these changes have been made unfairly, or violate your sense of rightness about how the page should be written, please comment here when you fix it, so that I and others will be less likely to revert your work.

Thanks for joining us, though, and I'm glad to see you here! -- Siege 07:49, 14 Nov 2005 (UTC)

Questionable Entry[edit]

I was thinking about this line that was added by a fan. Would this content in my Wikifur page constitute a valid entry?

"Upon Arival to the Hyatt Hotel (MFF '07) SonicBlu met a fellow broadcaster named Faytus (of Peached Pod,) whom had been trying to break 6 of the con rule 621 (six hours of sleep, two meals, and one shower) that particular night, and had been a fan of SonicBlu's parodies for a year prior to the meeting. Upon noticing his badge, Faytus realized it was indeed SonicBlu. They spent many hours during the convention discussing broadcasting techniques. They have kept in contact ever since."
