I added this to the Cancelled Conventions category...but there's also a Cancelled Events category...I'm now doubting whether I did the right thing or not though looking the description for Cancelled Conventions it does seem I did things correctly...Tai 1 (talk) 20:45, 8 May 2017 (EDT)

A cancelled convention is a cancelled event, by virtue of Category:Cancelled conventions being a subcategory of Category:Cancelled events - so yes, it's fine. --GreenReaper^(talk) 21:21, 8 May 2017 (EDT)
