This is going down a bad road. Is there going to be an entry for every college any Furry has ever attended? What's next, every city a Furry lives, or has ever lived, in? 733 23:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Heh, maybe. If a number of furs have attended a particular college, it might be of some interest.
I am curious about the fight song and alma mater being in the article, though. --Douglas Muth 23:17, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I wrote the article because of a large number of Chicagoland furries (That list is incomplete) attend NIU or have attended there. I would imagine that articles on such topics would belong only if there were a significant amount of furries going there. Obviously we can't include everybody's. But let's see where the trends lay?--Kendricks Redtail 23:24, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
I'm sure a large number of Furries have ridden BART, or driven on Hiway 101, or crossed the Golden Gate Bridge. What bearing does this have on Furry in general? Is this college offering programs that are targeted towards Furries? Is there a specific reason Furries go to this college as opposed to other colleges in the area? Has the college come out and said they want Furries to go there? 733 23:33, 13 December 2006 (UTC)
None of your specific questions apply to this college. I merited the inclusion on the large number of furries that attend or have attended and for the NIUcons that occur there.--Kendricks Redtail 00:43, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
I support the idea of adding articles of colleges that have a decent number of furries attending them, if for no other purpose than to help other furries in the school find others. Spaz Kitty 03:37, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

This page needs to be updated. As far as I know, the NIUcons are no longer going on, and many of the furs listed as "Furs at NIU" have graduated or moved on. I would suggest adding a third list that is something along the lines of "Furs who attended NIU" to include those who attended but did not graduate. -Brathor 23:56, 21 August 2010 (UTC)

Retool if referenced?[edit]

If there are references available, retool to an article about the apparent "number of furry and otherkin gatherings, affectionately known by attendees as NIUcons" -- Sine 01:12, 1 April 2013 (EDT)
