NPOV dispute[edit]

Those are pretty serious accusations of vandalising pages on Wikipedia. I think it would be appropriate to ask for links to the diffs in which each page was allegedly vandalized. --Dmuth 16:10, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Both rootdown and al need to back off this article before a revert war. Will someone third party who is unconnected to this please edit it ? Redcard 16:32, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I think you called that a little too soon -- to me, it seems that the article is evolving naturally, without virtrol from me towards Rootdown, nor vice versa. We'll get to a concensus in a few more edits. Almafeta 16:34, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I have no problem with Alfameta's recent addition, and he didn't change mine, he only elaborated on it, so I don't think there's going to be a problem. --Rootdown 16:35, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Okay. SOrry :) I was just going off of the previous unsolicited warnings that alma gave to Krishva on her user talk page, and was concerned that there might be some history that would give an unfair article. My apologies.. Redcard 16:37, 26 Aug 2005 (UTC)
It looks like User:Almafeta has removed some significant facts about me (such as my modest popularity as a Yerf artist--I am still occasionally asked about it by strangers, so I wouldn't say it's a non-notable point) and added some misinformation, such as accusations of vandalism on wikipedia. Emphasis has also been placed on my involvement with EAF, as if to say that was my primary involvement (when I was in fact a very active furry artist for about five years). I suspect that User:Almafeta has a very strong bias that he is letting get in the way of writing an impartial article, considering his recent history of accusations against me on wikipedia. --Krishva 03:25, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Accuracy Disputed[edit]

Okay, what are the facts that you find are in dispute on this page, alfameta? Redcard 03:57, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The blaring errors:
  1. Krishva does not have any relation with the furry fandom. Attacking something does not make you part of it.
  2. Krisvha is/was an administrator at EAF; 5 seconds of google shows this (line near the bottom, krishva's e-mail addy is the admin's). (I don't reccomend you google 'Krishva', by the way; I now know more RL information about her than I ever want to know.)
  3. Krisvha was not acting in concensus to move Furry to Furry Fandom over at Wikipedia; she had formed her 'concensus' with Stiv (another admin at EAF) and Grumpyhan. Before Krishva started replacing links to [[furry]] with [[furry fandom|furry]], there were about 500 pages linking to 'furry', and 80 linking to 'furry fandom'.
I'm of a mind that people should never edit their own articles; I'll never edit my article (excluding a revert if someone replaces does something like replace the text with 'mudbiscuits'). This is a case in point why people should not modify their own articles. Almafeta 04:14, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
She was on YERF. This is established. You can be part of a community and still "attack" it, this is established by the cliques and what not inside furry and the rampant cross attacking that occurs. As for her editing her own article, I agree.. but I also think that you have a bias history against her and should not be editing her article either. How about we let a third party, neutral, edit this article?Redcard 04:42, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I'd rather not be accused of bias. -_-;
Well . . . I think we all would, but if you do have a history with some particular person, is it really best to be working on pages about them? Would you want them editing pages about you? --GreenReaper(talk) 06:22, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Anyhow, I think this edit was perfectly good; I fact-checked the article, Rootdown (a friend of hers) made the tone more positive, I added one line of clarification, and we called it done. I played one side, he played the other, and between us we made a good, neutral article. Almafeta 04:50, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)
I tend to think that a chat log of Agahnim soliciting hackers to attack people he fantasizes are out to hurt him doesn't really constitute verifiable evidence, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
Out of curiosity, what "real life information" did you find that frightened you? All I'm seeing is Wikipedia-related stuff, old and kind of embarrassing artwork, old internet forum and guestbook activity, and something I wrote when I was 12. Nothing really fishy there. :)
Generally I assumed a person has a right to correct or remove libelous information from a page about them. As Almafeta also removed valid information and insinuated I was some kind of no-good, I felt I had a right to re-add the missing information. On the wikipedia issue: the consensus at the time was all active editors--there were a few others besides those you mention, Almafeta, and they all agreed about the course of action. No one voiced disagreement until the article was actually moved. That can hardly be called "against the general consensus."
If the accusations are phrased as just that--accusations--rather than undeniable truths, I am completely fine with having them there and will not remove them.
As an aside, I don't consider myself much of an anti-furry, but as I can see why I might be placed in that category, I will not remove it flat out. After we get the accuracy thing straightened out, we can discuss how anti-furry I actually am and whether I should be in that category. :) --Krishva 06:18, 27 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Krishva's Previous Behavior[edit]

Since these points haven't been addressed, I thought folks might want to be aware of Krishva's previous behavior on Wikipedia:

  • Krishva began making a series of dubious edits on Wikipedia and attempting to get misinformation incorporated into the articles related to furry fandom.
  • A quick google search revealed a rather damning admission from Krishva on DeviantArt that she "liked to make fun of and mess with" furries, because "it's so easy to get the priceless reaction I'm going for."
  • When her previous behavior was pointed out as her motivation for trying to get misinformation incorporated into Wikipedia articles, she called in her Team COTI cronies to gang up on anyone who disagreed with her.
  • After claiming her intentions were good, Krishva then proceeded with a campaign of systematically removing any references to furry fandom from numerous articles on Wikipedia.

Feel free to tell me I'm "taking things too seriously", but I think if Krishva doesn't want to be considered an anti-furry, she shouldn't go around gleefully proclaiming what fun it is to troll and bait furries, and instead start taking things a little more seriously herself.

As User:Dmuth stated above, this article would be vastly improved with links to some of the diffs from Wikipedia, as well as links to the discussion pages in question.--Duncan da Husky 11:18, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Some notes:
In closing, I'd like to say it's truly an honor to have these guys tell me I'm "taking the internet too seriously" by making sure sites like Wikipedia and WikiFur remain free of misinformation. It's a thankless job, but someone's gotta do it. -=) —Xydexx 21:48, 23 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Xydexx, I would appreciate if you would stop trying to SPREAD MISINFORMATION about me. :) :) :) Wikipedia is not FURRYPEDIA and that is my reason for toning down or removing references to furry fandom in articles that don't really concern it except in a "furry fans may like this particular thing" sense (that would be like saying "otaku often really like this movie/TV show" in every anime article--it goes without saying). As you might notice, my contributions to articles here on Wikifur have all been positive, so I fail to see your point in accusing me of shit-stirring and making me out to be some kind of extreme hater who cannot ever write a serious or neutral article regarding furries.
I don't list everything you've ever done that I've found obnoxious in your article, and I would appreciate if you would have the same respect for me. --Krishva 02:46, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I appreciate your hard work, Xydexx, and wouldn't wish the task you've undertaken on anyone... but all you've done is attracted Krishva's attention again.  :/ Almafeta 12:16, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Almafeta, this whole debacle actually attracted my attention in such a way that I contacted Xydexx and attempted to resolve the situation. He seemed receptive and flexible at least when I had a conversation with him. I hope I have convinced him that warning people against me is unnecessary, at least at such great length.
This article should focus on my activities as they pertain to furry fandom, and Wikipedia is really just a footnote in that category, best categorized as "Krishva has made a number of disputed edits in furry-related articles on Wikipedia, which she claimed had good intent; however, a few users doubted her intent on the basis of her having made fun of furries in the past. Her most vocal opponents were Xydexx and Almafeta." --Krishva 17:10, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
