ANTHRO fanzine[edit]

Might be worthwhile mentioning here that he writes reviews of anthropomorphic literature in Anthro (magazine). --58.107.3.68 22:34, 23 January 2009 (UTC)

Patten[edit]

Fred Patten is considered a contributor, founder and creator of groups, US fandoms, and historian, among others items (just a few dozen books to attest to that, but why Google). As for being one of the founders of Furry, that's a verbal fact passed on since the 1970's by members of this fandom, many which I had the chance of met, including Patten. Because Google didn't cache it, Wikifur steps in as the reference point of this fact. Reading any of the books available on stores and libraries, it shows the man is one of the pillars of many a fandom, including this one, and he is mention with such luminaries as Forrest J Ackerman.

Mental knowledge and books were here way before the net to simply dismiss this man accomplishments as "unreferenced" - Spirou 18:49, 12 October 2011 (EDT)

But the net is here now; references are very important, because if one learns something online, it's often thought of to be "unreliable" (even with refs it can be considered unreliable). It's not that I was questioning it, but I was preemptively acting in case someone else did. Equivamptalk 08:42, 13 October 2011 (EDT)
"I was preemptively acting in case someone else did." Good point by your part then,... The refs helps too now =) - Spirou 18:36, 13 October 2011 (EDT)
