REMOVAL WikiFur entry for Flinthoof Ponypal[edit]

Hello!

I was alerted that a page was created without my knowledge or authorization regarding my persona, Flinthoof. I request that the entry be removed and all links in WikiFur that refer to the character name be removed / blocked. I do not wish to be associated with WikiFur or any of the ads being listed in the sidebar (mostly for pornography, sexual fetishes, and other unsavory things).

Please remove the entry as soon as possible. If I wish to have an entry, I will create one myself.

Thank you.

Dan Canaan

That's odd - I go to the page and the only such ad I can see is "Yiff Hentai Art Galleries - Buy New & Used Goods on eBay Yiff Hentai Art Galleries for sale!" (eBay does the oddest adds . . .). I'm guessing that Google can't do more focussed ads, as the article is rather short.
I will contact you privately to confirm your removal request in accordance with our personal information policy, and copy this discussion to the talk page for the article. Be aware that as you are a relatively well-known figure there are various references to you which will remain in other entries. Those references that use your real name can be replaced with your fan name, if you so wish. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:06, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Personally, I think that holding WikiFur (or any other site with advertisements) responsible for the content of the advertisements is a bit silly. --Douglas Muth 17:10, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
I'm getting links to cell phone, poker and political ads. (strangely, one is pro-GOP while the other is against) Is Google focusing these on user surfing habits? --Frizzy 18:14, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
Heh. Quite possibly. I have no doubt that Google uses all the information at its disposal, and that includes information on the user viewing the ads. It might be worth clearing your cookies or using a different browser and seeing what you get. --GreenReaper(talk) 18:19, 26 September 2006 (UTC)
