On not offering First Aid services[edit]
Since folks might wonder about this edit, especially folks who might have witnessed a medical situation at a past Anthrocon, I thought I'd elaborate a little more on those situations.
As I added elsewhere in the article, we (Anthrocon) cannot offer First Aid services without liability. However, there are a number of individuals in the fandom who have advanced medical training. If they hear that there is a medical incident in progress, they are (in some cases, depending on state laws and the level of their training) required to respond. And respond they do. It's nothing that we have any control over. But we're not complaining, either. :-P --Douglas Muth 21:36, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about specifics (or if this is even relevant), but I did hear from an FWA staffer that Tiger Paw almost got in trouble for trying to help Chyra after the "incident" occurred. I don't have any details, though. Spaz Kitty 17:38, 14 April 2007 (UTC)
