Moving this page to Dance Dance Revolution[edit]

Shouldn't this article be moved to Dance Dance Revolution, and have DDR simply be a redirect? I'm all for abbreviations, but the series is called Dance Dance Revolution, not DDR. Kitsune Sniper 21:23, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Yes, it should. --GreenReaper(talk) 21:43, 21 May 2006 (UTC)

Boo not bad[edit]

DDR doesn't have "Bad". They have "Boo". Home versions do use "Boo" for missing an arrow, but neither one has "Bad" —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Jouva (talkcontribs) .

Why...[edit]

Was the edit reverted? As far as I can tell, all the information given is true and corrent. There's really not much that would warrant a reversion; also, if anything, the version by 172.135.78.4 is more correct, because of its wording and formatting. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by IanKeith (talkcontribs) .

Hmm, let's look at 172.135.78.4's changes:
  • 1. Changed description of image from DDR to Stepmania. I've emailed Bungee to see if he knows which one he was dancing to.
  • 2. Changed ratings to all upper case. IMO, all upper-case is unnecessary.
  • 3. Changed "Marvelous" to "MARVELLOUS!!" .. at this point I'm not sure which spelling DDR uses (reference.com says marvellous is the "especially British" spelling of the word)
At this point I'm wondering how much of the "Basic Gameplay" and "Advanced Modes of Play" sections should the WikiFur's DDR article have. How much of it is covered by Wikipedia's DDR article? --EarthFurst 21:38, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
About the image. Bungee replied "I do not know which version of DDR that is. I took the photo and uploaded to the Fursuit archive (Or the Yappy Fox archive?)" --EarthFurst 04:19, 7 January 2007 (UTC)

Hello, I am the person who made the changes to the article. The changes that I had made (well, upon further inspection, most of them) were at least %90 correct. Believe me, I know almost everything DDR.

  • 1. DDR Image: Okay, I will admit, I was wrong on this one. The game featured in the picture is DDRMAX: Dance Dance Revoltuion (US, PS2). The reason why I thought it was StepMania before is because I had apparently not examined the game closely enough. StepMania's Groove Radar is not that big. XD Other than that DDRMAX and SM's Default Theme are almost identical.
  • 2. Ratings: The ratings in DDR ARE written like that (most of them anyways), in all uppercase, as shown here.
  • 3 "MARVELLOUS!!": In DDR SuperNOVA, this was apparently corrected, as shown in the link above. However, in DDR EXTREME AC/JP and all console mixes from then on, it was shown as "MARVELLOUS!!". I didn't know that SN had corrected this.

Other than 1. and some of 2. and 3., the info I had edited into the article was correct. ToyoWolf 06:37, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

I think this page should be edited down to only the furry-related information (DDR At Conventions) and eliminate the gameplay and music details. I'm noting this here in case you wonder where all the content has gone. --Lynn Onyx 07:26, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

SN 2[edit]

I changed the 'current arcade release' to Supernova 2 because it is currently fully playable in location test form at Brunswick Zone in Naperville, and because its Japanese release will be in the coming week. Does anyone object to this reasoning? 24.13.93.171 22:14, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

Being that a playtest is not meant to be considered a release by any means, and that it's now January and there's still no arcade release, I'd say yes, that is not accurate. Wag! 16:38, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Appropriate for Wikifur?[edit]

Spirou added the appropriate tag at the top with the comment: "What's the specific Furry focus?. This could cover all mainstream game top, PC or Roleplay games (concentrate more on the DDR Furries?)"

While there isn't a whole lot about DDR that is inherently furry, there's an undeniably strong following within the fandom, even outside of the DDR Furs group. Every major convention I've been to has had a DDR setup, and usually a tournament to go along with it. Recently it's started to take a back seat to Guitar Hero and Rock Band (which have NO furry content, unless you count Satan or the Trogdor song) but as of now there's still a heavy following. IMO, that'd make it articleworthy. --Wag! 17:04, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Status update (July 23rd 2008)[edit]

Updating the entry's appropriateness status. Keep?, Delete?. My vote to Keep, as the term has now become quite common on conventions, forums, media, and online world games (I.e Second Life) Spirou 06:42, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Keep Common furry activity, and furry aspect can be covered more fully than it currently is. --Rat 08:21, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Keep Seriously, this happens at every furmeet, con and general furry gathering I go to nowadays. It's fairly well integrated into the stereotypical furry (Guitar Hero is another one that seems on the rise.) — beeps (talk, contribs) 08:27, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
