Crux Avatar Information[edit]

The following is information pulled directly from the SecondLife note cards that were included with every copy of the Crux V1 and V2 Avatars that was bought or distributed. The only changes made to this information is some formatting and removal of ascii art that was causing errors within the Wiki coding.

Each avatar has a custom set of animated expressions, eye colors, and gestures which include:

ANIMATED EXPRESSIONS

Suspicious - (to activate type) /1 suspicious

Pissed Off - (to activate type) /1 pissedoff

Sleep - (to activate type) /1 sleep

EYE COLORS

orange - (to change eyecolor type) /37 orange

GESTURES

Each Crux Creature is packed with 7 custom gestures and sounds. When these getsures are activated the following commands are:

Crux Angry - /cruxangry - puffs up and growls angrily

Crux Confused - /cruxconfused - shrugs with hands up, confused noise will play and one eye will squint O.o

Crux Disgusted - /cruxdisgusted - shakes it's head disgustedly and make disgusted sound

Crux Laugh - /cruxlaugh - Will bellylaugh and maniacal laughter will play

Crux Snicker - /cruxsnicker - Soft evil whispery snicker will play

Crux Sad - /cruxsad - Crux will whimper and cry

Crux Sadder - /cruxsadder - Crux will really carry on and blubber sadly.

Sniff Walk - /sniff - Crux will put his nose to the ground and sniff... walking around while doing so makes this animation look great!

If you don't read anything else in here, for the love of god at least read this part: KEEP YOUR UNPACKER!!!

Do not throw away your unpacker. The unpacker contains a complete copy of every part of the Avatar. If something goes wrong (And knowing Second Life, it's a good possibility.) You can always get a new, fresh copy of your Crux avatar from the unpacker vial. So keep it in a safe place just in case you mess up modding or the SL server gremlins eat your items or whatever.

Text Commands

A HUD is included with this avatar to facilitate easy manipulation of certain facial and body features and movements. However, for those that do not wish to use a HUD, or who simply want to create create gestures which can alter features of their avatar, most functions also have corresponding voice commands associated with them. These can either be typed in the chat window as normal text, or placed into gestures to add facial animation to them. All commands are spoken on channel 1, so it is important to include the "/1" before each command, otherwise the avatar will not respond.

/1 ears <up/down/droop> (example: typing "/1 ears up" would set the avatar ears to an alert position.)

/1 brow <normal/scowl/quirk>

/1 muzzle <normal/frown>

/1 sclera <l/r> <color> (sets either the left or right background color for the eyes. For example, "/1 sclera l pink" would set the left eye background color to pink, were typing "/1 sclera r pink" would set the right background pink instead. The following colors are available: pink, sanguine, grey, green, black, brown, purple, and orange.

/1 iris <l/r> <color> (Roughly the same as the sclera command, except colors the irises. the following colors are available: teal, blue, green, dirtypurple, orange, red, yellow, pink, lime, white, purple, and black.

/1 tongue <short/long>

/1 tail <wag/occasional/none>

Well, I still have the NC that was made when the Crux came out two years ago. Crux are Genderless and insane, by rule, so it says. But in my opinion, a crux is simply what it is defined to be. Crux literally means "A puzzling thing" I doubt any two crux will be alike.

Malluch's Original Crux drawings before he made them in Second Life?[edit]

I'm trying to find some of Malluch's old work before they ever made the first Crux in Second Life. The style was considerably different, and dispite by best efforts searching the internet I can't seem to find them. I know Malluch drew them on more than one occasion before SL. 98.237.32.141 09:31, 19 August 2012 (EDT)

LamiCru[edit]

This person has been trying to edit the Crux (species) page to add themself as a co-creator of the species this is not true in any way shape or form - have reverted all edits back to GreenReapers From Dec 2014 as this was the last legit update to the page. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by FluxCapacitor (talk • contribs) 11:42, 29 January 2017 (EST) .

I wikified LamiCru but it needs more attention at some point. Their DA account dates from mid-2016, although they appear to have a VK account somewhere as well. --GreenReaper(talk) 17:29, 5 February 2017 (EST)

New Second Life Avatars July 1, 2020[edit]

A new release of the Crux avatar has been granted permission to be created. It comes as bento mesh on Second Life.

There is a note in the product description which states: "I am also intending to make a demi version of this avatar in the next week or so for regalia"
