I'd like to suggest renaming this article to something along the lines of Impacts of Coronavirus on the Furry Fandom. This would make it more clearly an article with a furry-specific purpose, and it would potentially allow for the inclusion of other pertinent information that might arise that is not specifically an event cancellation or postponement, such as notable people affected, events that have announced that they are still expected to occur, and the safety and sanitation measures that events are taking. Thanks! skippyfox (talk) 00:38, 16 March 2020 (EDT)

I updated the section "COVID-19 and Furry" to "Impact on Furry Events" for the same reasons as above. I don't edit Wikifur often these days. If someone is going to revert my edits, please share your reasoning so I can understand why the decision is made. I'll stop contributing otherwise. Thanks. skippyfox (talk) 09:40, 16 March 2020 (EDT)

Section name follows Wikifur naming norm ("mainstream name" plus "furry", see Disney, Facebook, etc). When a decision hasn't been made pro or con to cancel/reschedule/postpone, that's a identifying "hiatus" - Spirou (talk) 11:36, 16 March 2020 (EDT)
Just because something is the "norm" doesn't mean it's a good idea in every situation. What makes it a good idea now? And a hiatus is a pause - that's the common and dictionary definition. Calling it a hiatus makes it sound like the convention has decided to postpone, which is guaranteed to mislead people. skippyfox (talk) 13:38, 16 March 2020 (EDT)
Reworded FWA entry. As per the section naming, changes follow consensus by multiple Wiki editors; you suggested a change, which you are welcome to it, but is not a final decision. Any other furry data, like Fur Affinity's offer of free ad space for these cons, the multiple people suggesting to favor the artists that will lose money during this event, or the call for a furry Online Con event, can be displayed on this section with the current name with no problem. - Spirou (talk) 17:18, 16 March 2020 (EDT)
