- I linked to atavism in a page earlier. In the furry fandom (especially among the lifestylers), it's used to mean when your animal side to partially or totally takes over, voluntarially or involuntarially. However, right now, that's a copyvio... Could an admin please delete that article, so we could write up a proper one that won't be ripped from a commercial source? Almafeta 09:35, 20 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- I'm afraid I have to second Nidonocu's comment. Having read this article, I don't understand at all what's being said here or its relevance to the fandom. I've never encountered this word anywhere in the fandom. Also, atave is not a word, so the provided definition of "to atave" is invalid. I really think that this article should try to provide specific fandom-related examples, because as it stands, it seems to be a poorly-explained definition. Shira 00:52, 17 May 2008 (UTC)
