Sexo felpudo
Sexo felpudo is an article by Carolina Rojas first published on 30 August 2009 in the magazine of Chilean conservative newspaper La Nación.
The piece started by mentioning The Lion King and furry fandom's origins in comic fandom, but quickly turned to the erotic feeling of plush fur between the fingers and fursuit sex. Rubberfurs, SPHs and Tapestries MUCK were also mentioned, as well as furry sex episodes of The Shining, Nip/Tuck and CSI, and "forums where surfers confess their erotic fantasies with animated animals."
An expert - "sexologist" Ximena Santa Cruz - was quoted as saying that it was "okay if a couple wants to connect with animal power, memory and species-play, but not if one sees the excitement of being in animal forms." Community site RedLobo.net was mentioned as "a page where you can schedule appointments and meetings between yiff lovers."
Furry Chile sent an open letter in response to the article, criticizing its "sensationalist approach" and focus on the sexual aspects of the fandom. The latter also claimed that interviews with several fandom members had been mostly disregarded, and that the person quoted most in regards to them had not been a regular of their community for some time.
Translated quotes[edit]
This new urban tribe is composed of young people who one day felt their animal side get excited. The only condition is to forget their faces and enjoy sex with stuffed animals. |
It is disrespectful, an unethical act that reflects the irresponsibility of someone who does not work for someone who can be called "Journalist". -- comment by "Fernando" |
RedLobo.net is a community of fans of anthropomorphic art, not a page of 'appointments and meetings' as says the article. While Spanish fans meet with a certain frequency, they are still gathering of friends to participate in everyday activities that have nothing to do with sex. They could have contacted me (Admin) if they would learn, instead of publishing falsehoods. --Kennet Brent |
