Fandom involvement[edit]

Rick was a Guest of Honor at ConFuzzled 2014,[1] He was announced as the Rocket City FurMeet 2014 GOH prior to that convention's cancellation.[2] Rick was to be a GoH at Furry Fiesta 2021,[3] before 2021 convention was switched to being an online event, with 2021 GoHs being rolled over to Furry Fiesta 2022.[4]

Rick's fursona is a brown and tan kangaroo named West of Heaven, and was previously a Pokemorph furret. In 2017, he talked briefly about this, expressing a changing stance[5][6] and wishing to be consistent and upfront[7].

Rick Griffin is the author and artist of the webcomic series Housepets!, which started in 2008, and which won the Ursa Major Award for Best Anthropomorphic Comic Strip for 2009 to 2017, 2019, and 2020.[8]
