Pearl's Promise

Pearl's Promise is a novel written and illustrated by Frank Asch. First published in 1984, it was published by Dell as a paperback with the ISBN 0440468639.[1]
Pearl's Promise is about Pearl, a white mouse who lives in Adam's Pet Store. After her parents are sold, Pearl and her older brother Albert take responsility for their younger brother, Tony. After Tony is put in a snake's tank and Pearl is sold, she escapes and has to make her way back to the pet shop in a few days to save Tony.
Pearl's Promise was followed by a sequel, Pearl's Pirates, first published in 1987.
