Nikas (born December 27, 1974)[1] is a furry song-writer who lives in the United States.[1]

Nikas' fursona is a tall, lanky fox morph with a pair of batlike wings.[1] He has a wild crop of hair sticking up from the top of his head, which also hangs down to collar-length. He usually wears a faded purple t-shirt with the words 'What Happened?!?' across the front, and a pair of battered jeans. Disliking shoes, he is usually barepawed.

Nikas self-taught himself to write music at a young age, and began creating music on his Commodore 64, later using an Amiga and then a PC. Nikas played the alto saxophone for about six years in school bands, later progressing to the piano and keyboards. At college, he took two years of classes on various aspects of musical composition.

In 1996, Nikas composed Bein' Furry, a song that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at being a furry fan.
