nek0gami
Dark Nek0gami, also known as Nek0gami, Gami Cross, and Culgar. An American artist, he most often goes as "Gami," and his fursona is a Grei - a species of his own creation. He is best known for his concept of LGDs, or Living Gasm-Drives which are A.I. equipped, liquid-metal sex-toy anthroids.
He married his husband Razoth in 2020, and they currently live in Oklahoma, USA.
He was a guest of honor at FA: United in 2010.
Controversy[edit]
2006[edit]
In August 2006, it was noted that a particular picture of Nek0gami's character, Nekogirli (drawn in 2005)[1] looked remarkably similar to a picture drawn by Neolucky (drawn in 2004).[2] An overlay was done and it proved that there was a trace involved.[3]
When asked about it, Nek0gami claimed that:
| She traced over my picture, then changed the copyright date on hers... The original is mine, I just retraced over it again for a new character |
A number of people were not happy with Nek0gami's response. After certain users made their own versions of the Neolucky trace, Nek0gami made post on Fur Affinity about it, where he admitted to tracing the image.[citation needed]
However, he claimed it was something he did when he was first trying to learn how to draw, and accused everyone who pointed out his wrongdoing as bringing up "old shit", despite the fact that Neolucky had just learned about it at the time.[4]
2024[edit]
In July of 2024, artist Nari revealed on their Fur Affinity page that Nek0gami had molested them while in a living situation with him and his husband Razoth. [5]
They pressed charges against Nek0gami, and the DA decided not to prosecute.
They also revealed that Razoth told them he is fully aware he is an abusive marriage with Nek0gami as the abuser, but chooses to stay and endure.
A discord screenshot of Nari's Discord DM to Razoth was also posted[6], describing the same things as in their FA Journal.
