The Murloc is an amphibious race of fishmen from the World of Warcraft universe. On land, they have hunched posture, their arms almost touching the ground, but despite that are very quick and agile. Their voices are gurgling gibberish (voiced by game's composer Tracy W. Bush). Murloc's markings depend on tribe and profession and can be of any color, from bright to dull to dark. Murlocs have much resemblance with H.P. Lovecraft's Deep Ones, including frog features and worship of giant sea monsters. The Murloc also worship or serve the Naga.
Although in-universe Murlocs are vile, xenophobic creatures, they gathered much popularity from World of Warcraft players and became one of Blizzard's mascots.
