MFM9

Mephit Furmeet 9 (a.k.a. MFM9) was held on September 2 to 4, 2005, at the Holiday Inn Select at Memphis International Airport in Memphis, Tennessee. The theme for 2005 was "Nine lives, baby!"

The hotel was shared with displaced victims of Hurricane Katrina, with congoers donating both money and resources to those affected by the catastrophe. While this convention year posed particular challenges for the staff with the advent of Hurricane Katrina, TygerCowboy confirmed the total funds raised for charity were $16,600, including $12,600 raised for Tiger Haven and $4,000 raised for the American Red Cross. Some convention attendees also banned together to raise $3,000 for another attendee who lost their car due to the events surrounding the Hurricane and subsequent flooding.
