On MUCKs, the page program is used to send messages to other players who are not in the same location. Most MUCKs also feature a mail option for leaving messages visible to players when they later log onto the MUCK; sometimes mail is a separate program.
Whisper[edit]
A MUCK whisper is effectively a page that is sent to a player in the same room; only the recipient(s) of the whisper hear the message.
