Krishna Defier (in full Krishna Periagis Defier; born 1984 in California, U.S.A.) is a furry whose fursona is a kitsune. He is currently married, has a daughter and two sons, and resides in Northern California, U.S.A.

Real life[edit]

In real life, Krishna was married in 2004 and had a daughter. In 2006, he had a son and joined the US Air Force. Krishna used to have an obsession with Yu-Gi-Oh!, constantly favoring the lesser-used decks, like Frogs, and Morphtronics because he is a nonconformist at heart, but as of late 2009, dropped the card game altogether.

Now (as of 2011) he finds himself fascinated with the Lua programming language, and wants to learn to program. As of 2013 he has also become fascinated with creating databases using MS Access and VBA programming. He has also had another son this year.

Fandom involvement[edit]

Krishna realized his furry side some time in the late 1990s, as Tundra Foxhood while chatting on a Visual Chat program known as "The Palace". With the assistance of an online friend, back then known as Manga Ka Pat, he helped create a brand of colored fox-like creatures they called Aurorachis that had magical elemental powers. Tundra Foxhood was an Arctic Fox Aurorachi with ice elemental powers. He helped edit many icons of different types of elemental fox characters for his friends.

Eventually, Krishna moved on from The Palace chat software and began a short-lived life of MUCKing on several servers, such as Redwall MUCK, FurryMUCK, Bloody Earth, and, when he turned eighteen in 2002, he even spent some time on Tapestries MUCK.

The character of Krishna Defier began on the Redwall MUCK, and was a young Arctic Fox, who had a sister named "Kasche Defier". He had a best friend, named Tad Cougar, and a mouse adoptive parent named Karen. This version of Krishna was very Robin Hood like in the sense that he wore green and liked to fight with bad guys by use of his "Dibbune Sword", but he was a younger character so was usually getting in the way.

Some time after 2003, after Krishna had moved away from MUCKs in general, it was decided that Krishna would become a kitsune, rather than a basic Arctic Fox. He had a fascination with the mysterious, plus Japanese lore (and yes Anime) that cemented this attribute into his fursona.

Krishna has had many friends over his time in the fandom, but in 2002 while RPing on Yahoo! Clubs (now known as Yahoo! Groups), he met a friend known as Sasquatch. After some time, Sasquatch and Krishna designed a "Twin" version of Krishna the Arctic Fox that they named "Kritter". Krishna and Kritter were very close friends, but after some time Krishna began to go through a time of personal reflection and disappeared from the Furry community for sporadic periods of time.

What's in a name?[edit]

The last name of "Defier" troubled Krishna for many years due to the nature of the actual word which means "One who defies." and the name of Krishna being a name of a deity who lived on earth. Translated, the name becomes "One who defies God." This was unintended at the time of creation.

However over time it almost become fitting because he began to research and really question all religion.

Writing[edit]

He can be found as Krishna Defier at writing.com where he has these, amonge other, stories that can be found.

But he can also be found at Deviant Art under the same name.

Stories[edit]

Aurorachi Story[edit]

Krishna was the author of a short story called "Aurorachi Story" where three foxes were experemented on by a mad scientist, and his henchman named "Bob." The three foxes changed fur color, and gained elemental powers. Two of the foxes were twins, and had powers that were linked together: Tundra had the ability to absorb all of the heat in an area, creating ice. Fervor had the ability to produce heat. The third was called Terrain, and had the ability to create plant life.

The Aurorachis were created by a girl who called herself Manga Ka Pat. Krishna found many small "Sprites", or video game style pictures, of the aurorachis, and began to play around with them, changing their stances, and colors, and sharing with his friends. Eventually he met Manga Ka Pat online and they worked together to create an RPG for the Aurorachis that eventually was used to create the story. Unfortunatly the story, just as the RPG, faded out because of RL difficulties.

Furry Fantasy[edit]

The plot of this story was supposed to include the two authors being taken into "the Furry World" where they learn the ins and outs of being Furry. This one quickly fell to the side as he just didn't find any interest in writing it.

Aether: After the End[edit]

One story took takes place some time in the future, "After the End of the world." The setting takes place in California after a major earthquake. The earth released a fog that would be later called "Aether" that, once comes in contact with a living creature, whether it be person, plant, or animal, changes it's form in a painful way. Sometimes the creature becomes a hideous monster. The main character, Curtis Dalton, a journalist, finds that in the new world he might have to face the fact that the pen is no longer mightier than the sword. But eventually he would learn that this conclusion was in fact dead wrong. Unfortunately this story is on of the many to clog up his head, and never make it to text.
