Jove Deadly's Lunar Detective Agency is a collection of two stories; Poodle in a Blue Dress by Garrett Marco and This Dog for Hire by Mary E. Lowd. Both stories star title character Jove Deadly, a bloodhound private detective "with a nose for trouble" and his otter assistant/sidekick, Roen, both employees of the Lunar Detective Agency, their rundown detective agency located on the Moon. Jove Deadly's Lunar Detective Agency was nominated for the Best Other Literary Work in the 2019 Ursa Major Awards.

Poodle in a Blue Dress[edit]

A sassy, high-class poodle hires Jove to find her missing fiancé, who turns out to be his estranged brother, Aries, but there seems to be more than what the client lets on.

This Dog for Hire[edit]

Jove and Roen are hired to investigate a group of scientists in order to track down an alien artefact. His sister Tara is also part of the investigation, much to Jove's chagrin. This Dog for Hire also won the Best Short Fiction category in the 2019 Ursa Major Awards.
