Biography[edit]

Jane was locally known as a board member of the South Bay LGBT Center.[2]

Fandom involvement[edit]

On December 14, 2013, Jane married Flash the Fox at the The Prancing Skiltaire, in a ceremony which featured in episode 64 of The Raccoon's Den.[3]

Her species is a Lactrodectus.[4]

Controversy[edit]

On December 1, 2015, Jane Maria Nicholson was arrested following an investigation of an incident that happened in the summer of 2014, for engaging in sex acts with minors. In that incident, two 13-year-old boys told police they were approached and offered oral sex. Nicholson subsequently performed the sex act on one of the boys, police said.

Nicholson allegedly committed the same crime earlier in 2015 when a 16-year-old boy had told police that he was approached and also asked if he was interested in oral sex, according to investigators. Nicholson then engaged in sex acts with the boy, police officials stated. As of December 24, 2015, she was being held on $390,000 bail.[5].

Facing up to 12 years in prison, Nicholson rejected a deal to serve four years behind bars for crimes involving four boys, in exchange for a no-contest or guilty plea in court.[6]

On Wednesday, February 8, 2017, Nicholson learned that Torrance police had identified a fifth victim — a 14-year-old Lawndale boy who allegedly had received oral sex.[6] As prosecutors prepared to file two more charges against her, the plea deal was raised to five years, four months in prison, and Nicholson accepted, entering four no-contest pleas to felony counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14, oral copulation of a person under 18, sodomy involving a person under 18, and a misdemeanor count of child molesting. Prosecutors dismissed a second felony oral copulation count and another count of child molesting.[6]

Nicholson was sentenced to five years, four months in prison,[7] and on March 3 was admitted to the California Institute for Men.[8]
