An ice cream social, in the furry fandom, is a planned social event held at furry conventions[1] as an "icebreaker" to encourage attendees to socialize and introduce themselves.
At some cons, the ice cream social can be a perk specifically reserved for the event's furry patrons or sponsors.[2]
