Furrydelphia 2020
Furrydelphia 2020 was to be the fourth iteration of the Furrydelphia convention and was scheduled to be held August 14-16, 2020 at the Valley Forge Casino Resort in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. On June 5, 2020, just two months before the convention was to begin, it was announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic a physical Furrydelphia convention would not be possible, and the event was postponed until 2021.[1]
The theme was intended to be "Galactic Fleet", however this theme was later reused for Furrydelphia 2022.
Furrydelphia VirtualCon 2020[edit]
While no physical Furrydelphia event took place in 2020, the convention held Furrydelphia VirtualCon 2020, an online furry convention which was completely free to attend, and took place August 14-16, 2020 across various platforms such as Discord, Telegram, Twitch and VRChat.[2]
Events included panels and DJ sets streamed live on Twitch, a Discord server with text and voice chat rooms, and various meetups on VRChat.[3]
A mock up of the Valley Forge Casino Resort's lobby was created and uploaded to VRChat for Furrydelphia VirtualCon participants to explore and socialize in virtual reality.[4]
Since the event was free to attend for all, there are no official attendance counts.[5]
