Furplay was an erotic anthology zine published by Michael Hirtes in 1993, who also used it the name as his handle on alt.fan.furry for some time. 20 issues appeared, the last being released as a PDF file for free download.

It is generally accepted that the cessation of the magazine's publication was due to its publishing and sale being reported to Michael Hirtes' government caseworker. (Hirtes himself seems to believe that it was Jim Groat who did so.) As he is required to have no income to continue collecting government checks, he was informed that he could either cease publishing it or attempt to make his living off of the magazine's income. Hirtes chose to cease publishing and continue collecting social security checks.
