Furnal Equinox 2021
Furnal Equinox 2021 was Furnal Equinox's first ever Online convention. It was held over March 19-21, 2021[1] on VRChat and Discord.
The theme of the convention was "Pixel Purrfect"[1].
The Marriott Westin Harbour Castle Hotel lobby, convention level, and pool were created using blueprints of the hotel for the VRChat platform. Additional worlds included a Dealers Den, lounge, main stage where visitors could watch the Twitch livestream, and a dance floor built inside a massive hangar.
Livestream videos frequently played music from Nightrunner's "Thunderbird" album during intermissions, in particular "Magnum Bullets."
3,722 individual web registrations were recorded as attendees. The Furnal Equinox Discord recorded an influx of over 3,000 new members. Over 1,800 unique visits to the livestream were recorded, with "tens of thousands of visits to the VRChat worlds." $20,000 was raised for charity and split 50/50 with Furnal Equinox. [2]
