Frostbite Winterhaven (or "Frosty") is the fursona of Chris Saia, born in 1975, who discovered and became involved the furry fandom in 1995 through his interest in the Warner Bros. television series Steven Spielberg Presents Animaniacs.
Frosty is a male snowshoe fox, a species he specifically created for his character. He is on FurryMUCK as Frostbite and on Second Life as Frostbite Flasheart.
Prior to adopting Frostbite as his fursona in 1999 Chris played the following different characters on EFnet, DALnet and WTnet IRC networks:
- The_Brain, a male, white lab mouse from Pinky and The Brain.
- Minkie, a non-canonical female mink related to Minerva Mink from Animaniacs.
- Hunter, an male, anthropomorphic golden retriever from Road Rovers.
