Summary[edit]
A dragon dance through Chinatown, celebrating the Chinese New Year.
Acrylic paints on 20"x30"illustration board - the original painting made for the Further Confusion 2008 art show.
This painting took approximately 120 hours to complete.
All of the characters depicted are Kacey's own original characters - several of them are recurring characters thoughout her artwork - including Cirrus the eastern blue dragoness, Candi the red panda, Antarctica the blue vixen, Echo the genet, Vienna the arctic roo, Kristania(Misty)the ringtail cat, and Ace the black jackal.
This is a fictional Chinatown - the building designs are Kacey's own creation - the gateway was inspired by the Chinatown gateway in London, however, and the entire piece was inspired by visiting San Francisco's Chinatown.
