Furry Weekend Atlanta 2013 (FWA 2013) was the tenth iteration of FWA, which took place from March 14-17, 2013. The theme was "Still in Love",[1] and the GoH were Jimmy Chin and Hibbary.[2]
This year, the convention moved to the Westin hotel; due to the sheer number of floors, which had 69 (not including the spinning SunDial restaurant on the 70th), the convention was dubbed "ElevatorCon" by some attendees[3]. Official attendance was 2,396[4], and over $18.4K was raised for Conservators' Center Inc.[5]
The 2013 fursuit parade featured a three-person honor guard of EMTs, led by a fursuiter holding a U.S. flag, which held a picture of the late Timothy McCormick, who was one of two EMT victims of a crash a month earlier.
