Duncton Tales

Duncton Tales, published in 1991, is the first book in William Horwood's The Book of Silence trilogy. This is set some generations after The Duncton Chronicles, which began with Duncton Wood (1980).
In 1989 the next Duncton book had been publicised as Tales of Longest Night; this book was never published, although aspects of it are to be seen within Duncton Tales.
