Dume is a furry webcomic created by artist Jonas and writer Rayce. While co-written by both, it was illustrated on its entirety by Jonas.
Premise[edit]
The comic story revolved around the adventures of a surfing otter, Dume, and his chain-smoking raccoon roommate, Rand. Dume and Rand attend college in the town of Southpaw, a surfing enclave on the southern California coast.

Did you know? Jonas originally created Dume in 1998 to serve as the pseudo-mascot for the SoCalFurs annual BBQ event. His name is derived from Point Dume, a popular surfing spot in Malibu, California, which in turn is was derived from Father Francisco Dumetz, one of the last Spanish missionaries in the state of California.
