Chris Fischer is an artist and musician who lives in New York city, USA.[1]

Chris Fischer is best known for his Chip 'n' Dale fanfic graphic novel Of Mice and Mayhem (published in 2003)[2][3][4][5][6] and the The Rangers of Oz art project (2005).[7]

Of Mice and Mayhem[edit]

Of Mice and Mayhem is a graphic novel set sometime after the end of the Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers series.[3] The story starts with a flashback of a botched Rescue Rangers’ raid on a Norton Nimnul’s laboratory and its immediate aftermath. Several months later, during a raid on a government laboratory, Chip becomes separated from the group, whereupon he discovers an apparent conspiracy,[6] which, while resolving one of the issues for the Rangers, sets a new challenge on its own.

Of Mice and Mayhem proved to be popular with the fandom and won 16 Golden Acorn Awards in the year it was published, followed by several “all-time best” ones in the latter years,[5] until such nominations were discontinued ca. 2008. The novel set precedent for the one-shot character of Tammy to become a nurse,[3] and inspired several works set in its continuity, including a series of short stories by Neal Wolf,[8] and the novels Of Mice Beyond Mayhem by Gyrotank (2011)[9] and Ammunition for the Winter by Draco Lockhard (2012).
