I'm . . . unsure about this category. I think it might be a good idea to let people put themselves in it rather than to add the tag to articles about them. Given the group's touchy status within the fandom I worry a little that people will cruise on here and (e.g.) decide to hassle all the babyfurs. It seems like the sort of personal information that you would not add by default. But what do you think? --GreenReaper(talk) 22:45, 12 June 2006 (UTC)

How about a template for the top of the category that says something like, "please do not add people here by default"? --Douglas Muth 02:25, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Seems like a reasonable idea. --GreenReaper(talk) 05:29, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
I can see having categories which should have explicit self mention before being added (Lifestylers) come to mind. I'm not sure how best to word a note to that effect on a category, however. -- Sine 05:36, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
"Unless it's mentioned in an edit by them, it's probably best not to add them to the category"? --GreenReaper(talk) 23:36, 11 October 2006 (UTC)

It occurs to me, years later, that this could be argued ot be one of those cateegories that refers to something about the person's fursona. So that certainly fits our pattern of categories. -- Sine 19:09, 2 March 2011 (UTC)
