Website buttons are the sort of images you might see in a link bar - typically 100x35 or smaller. They are distinguished from banners by their size - also, a button may be intended for display on other sites, while a banner may not be.
It is generally acceptable to upload and use a website button on a wiki page, as long as the use of it comes under the definition of fair use. In some cases, it is appropriate to construct a button from a banner. Use common sense. :-)
