Califur 1

Califur 1 was held May 20 to 22, 2005 by FENEC Adventures at The Holiday Inn in Costa Mesa, California. The convention's theme was "Welcome to the Islands".
There were many staffing changes since the previous year, but significant growth was achieved in both room registrations and attendance, which gained 15% for a total of 383 attendees. The executive leadership of the convention felt this to be a continuing trend, due to the growth of fandom as a whole.
