Building quotas are controls which are generally used in online multiplayer worlds to ensure a controlled expansion of the in game world. Sometimes controlled by in-game money or some other 'building currency', they mean normal players can create rooms for a certain price or value. When their currency runs out, they can no longer build rooms until they obtain more either through time (they are given an allowance) or by requesting more.

Not all games have building quotas and in almost all games, Wizards are normally free from building restrictions and can build as required.
