Brian McPherson, also known as Brian Blackberry, is an old-school anthropomorphic artist. He has been in the fandom over 9 years, and has attended many of the popular conventions. His art has appeared in various fanzines all over, including Gallery, Anthropomorphine and FurPlay. In addition, he has contributed to the comic world, having features in Rare Breed and Shanda the Panda.

Brian lives in Wisconsin and is one of those rare artist sorts who also appreciates football. Being well rounded, he not only likes sports, but also has a 'geek' side. He is self-described as a "Space Nerd" and is quoted saying "I am a total Sci-Fi geek, can ramble on about far more Sci-Fi shows in greater detail than is probably considered healthy".

His thoughts on the fandom are summed-up as:

"I see anthropomorphics (or 'furry') as a fandom and a vehicle to explore other genres, not a lifestyle, not a spiritual experience, and not an excuse to get Easy Dork Sex."

He can be seen these days at various conventions such as AnthroCon and Mephit Furmeet, sitting at his dealer's table. Brian's art is highly prized for collectors looking to add to their sketchbooks, which keeps Brian quite busy when at a con.

At the time, he is currently single, but that's likely to change soon, as it's been heard that certain ladies have their eye on him.
