Barbary Lion

The Barbary Lion, also called the Atlas Lion, is an extinct subspecies of lion. It was the largest of lions, and heavily-built. Compared to familiar modern lions, Barbary Lions had longer fur, particularly along the underside. Adult males had a profuse dark mane extending from neck and shoulders and along the belly towards the hind legs.
Barbary Lion characters[edit]
Barbary Lion characters have existed on a number of multiplayer worlds based on The Lion King. Barbary Lion was an available species on Sunrise MUCK and Endless Round MUCK, although not explicitly recognised on The Lion King MUCK. Individual characters are often described as unusually large and shaggy-furred.
