Ashaya aka Ash is a furry artist from Northeast Ohio, U.S.A. Although he dresses as a fox, Ashaya identifies with an eagle fursona. He jokingly refers to himself as a 'cross-species-dresser'.

Working towards his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Motion Picture Production, Ashaya is an aspiring filmmaker. He created a 15-minute-long documentary on the furry fandom. The film utilized interviews, artwork, and photography to paint a picture of the community in an attempt to define 'furry.' In 2010, the film received play at the Cincinnati Fringe Festival and Morphicon, a convention in Columbus, Ohio. He is currently working on a reiteration of the film titled THROUGH FOX'S EYES, through which he is exploring the topics of identity construction, furry as a community, and the impact society and furry culture have on one another.
